A pinch and a punch...

Wow! Look at today's date: 01.02.2010 - Palindromic like me!
(Well... it was when I wrote this anyway...)

I've had an amazing weekend, and a good start to the week:

Yesterday I did the marine mammal survey course at the MBA (Marine Biology Association). It was great fun and has made me want to do some volunteering for ORCA at some point int the future; hopefully I'll be able to fit it in the summer holidays.

On Wednesday I'll be finishing my sea survival (that I started on Saturday) with the practical in the pool. Today me and Sean walked up to the pool to see where it is, and luckily it's not as far as I thought. The walk was lovely because it goes through Central Park (despite getting mud on my boots and getting the erge to climb the lovely trees there!)

My lectures were fun too (although I almost slipped on the ice this morning getting to them!) The ecosystems lecture was right up my street with food webs and trophic cascades; I found it so interesting I went immediately to the library afterwards to get some books on the subject.

The other amazing lectures I had today were on dinosaurs & birds and the evolution of humans. I'm so happy that I enjoy my course; I would have hated to come to university to discover that I'd made the wrong choice...

Oh no! Look at the date! I've blabbered on so long it's nolonger 01.02.2010! Never mind, there's always the next palindromic date to get excited about, but it'll be next year (11.02.2011)
